About Me

Dr Anne Coffey offers consultations for fertility issues (female and male factor), preconception care for chronic medical disease, preconception care after pregnancy loss, recurrent miscarriage, fertility preservation, reproductive endocrinology including PCOS and premature ovarian failure.

Dr Anne Coffey grew up on a small farm in the mid North of South Australia. She completed her medical degree at the University of Adelaide in 2000 and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2012. Anne trained in multiple centres in Queensland including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Cairns Hospital.

In 2010 she was awarded the medal for outstanding achievement in the RANZCOG specialist examinations. In the same year, she completed a Masters Degree in Reproductive Medicine with the UNSW. Dr Anne Coffey developed a collaborative service for the management of high-risk medical disorders in pregnancy at Cairns Hospital in 2011. She continues to work within the service providing planning and management for women with chronic medical disease in pregnancy.

Anne has experienced her own difficult journey with pregnancy loss and IVF and is the mother of a busy pre-schooler. Having been a “patient” on many occasions, she remains conscious of the challenges that many people face as they negotiate the complexities of the health care system. Anne is committed to delivering compassionate and patient centred care, especially during the difficult journey of infertility.
